There aren’t many national analysts who are expecting Monday night’s game between the Green Bay Packers (2-2-1) and San Francisco 49ers (1-4) at Lambeau Field to be much of a contest, considering the injury-riddled 49ers are coming off an ugly loss to the previously winless Arizona Cardinals and are marching into a difficult situation against a talented Packers team with the league’s premier quarterback in Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers have had issues of their own this season while Rodgers has had to play through a knee injury, but their situation looks quite a bit better than that of the 49ers, who will be without their top quarterback (Jimmy Garoppolo) and could be without their top two running backs (Jerick McKinnon, Matt Breida) on Monday night, among other injuries.
